2 Ways to Focus on Happiness


We’re living during an unprecedented time in our world’s history. High anxiety paired with the constant feeling of uncertainty brought on by the Coronavirus has made it hard to focus on anything, let alone anything happy or positive. It’s hard, but it’s not impossible.

With all the unknown variables, it’s easy to lose yourself in stressful situations like these, but it’s important to acknowledge the small things and give yourself (and those around you) grace, lovingly.

If you have been feeling down lately, here are two ways that can help you find happiness throughout your day.

Find joy in the little things.

These are the opportune moments to find joy in the little things. Taking a moment to absorb the positivity generated from simple actions or words can boost your morale. Think of it as giving yourself an affirming pat on the back, or interpreting it as a sign that things will be alright.

Embrace yourself.

Did you finally perfect a new recipe? Practice some self-care, or take the time to learn a new skill or hobby? Maintaining your personal needs, taking care of yourself, and stimulating your happiness, is the most important task. Always take time to make yourself a priority. Meditate for peace of mind, plan, or journal for clarity, read a book, whatever makes you feel positive and happy, is always worth making time for.
