3 Ways to Create A Peaceful Space

Your environment has a significant impact on many things, and it can influence your thoughts, mood, and energy. During this time of high stress and anxiety, it’s imperative that you become intentional with creating a safe haven for you and your loved ones.

If you’re unsure of how to start, here are three simple ways to cultivate peaceful spaces into your home.

Declutter your home.

It’s easy to create pretty piles of things over time. Now, with a little more time on our hands, we can get organized. Pace yourself with this task, but be intentional with seeing it through the finish line. Begin room by room. Breaking this task down by area will help minimize the feeling of dread or overwhelm.

Light candles.

Candles are a great way to invite a peaceful vibe into your space. Use scented candles that appeal to your sense of smell and unwind! Did you know that sage and eucalyptus are known to clear negative energy? Order scented candles with either of these essential oils and experience this for yourself!

Turn off electronics.

It’s great that we’re so easily accessible to the world through social media. However, too much of anything can be detrimental. Set boundaries with your consumption of the media and your electronic devices. For example, instead of immediately opening Facebook in the morning, create a ritual of making your coffee (or tea), and sitting in a quiet place for a few moments. In the evenings, dedicate time to reading instead of television. It will make a tremendous difference in managing stress levels and making you a more peaceful individual.

If you have any tips that can help our group create peaceful spaces within their homes and lives, share with us! We would love to hear from you!
