We describe happiness as an internal feeling that’s often influenced by external circumstances — going on vacation, receiving your big promotion, or feeling the sun rays on your skin during a much-needed visit to the beach.
Joy is considered an external expression of an inward state-of-mind. When we have joy in our hearts, our surroundings do not impact our joy.
Creating joy requires internal work that’s very similar to the work required within our Find Body Freedom program. We learn to confront the core of ourselves with honesty, and in return, we receive freedom from external influences.
